Jefferson native Johnny “Hollywood” Case had his 12 match mixed martial arts (MMA) winning streak stopped on Saturday night in Brisbane, Australia by submission late in the match with Jake “The Celtic Kid” Matthews. The 21 year-old Australian used a rear naked choke for the win over the 26 year-old Iowan with just 15 seconds left in the third period. Both fighters are 4-1 in UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships) bouts with Matthews improving to 10-1 overall and Case falling to 22-5. The loss was the first in six years for the Jeffersonian. The bout was part of the Main Card of UFC 85 Fight Night on Saturday night.
