Another former ADM Tiger athlete has struck success at the collegiate level. After former ADM football players Lane Hovey and Jordan Grove stole the after high school show this past football season, the spotlight has turned to a former ADM track star Kari Dufoe.

Dufoe was a multi year state qualifier while at ADM and now she’s transferred that success onto the collegiate ranks as a member of the University Of South Dakota track and field team. Dufoe and the Coyotes have already completed their indoor season where Dufoe became just the fourth Coyote in five years to win the Newcomer of the Championship award at the Summit League Indoor Track & Field Championships. Dufoe earned that honor thanks to a career best time of 7.78 seconds for 4th place in the women’s 60 meters and a 6th place finish in the 200 meters.

Raccoon Valley Radio sat down with a very happy Greg Dufoe, ADM superintendent and father to Kari Dufoe as his discussed his thoughts on his daughters success.

“Ya we’re Yotes. They’re competitive and she’s running all over the place. She has had a good year, she was named Newcomer of the Championships. She’s got to work very hard, nothing comes easy and that’s how she likes it,” stated Mr. Dufoe.

Dufoe will now look to continue her success from the indoor season to the outdoor track season in her freshmen year with the Coyotes.
