The West Central Valley girls track team will head to the Graceland University indoor high school track meet on Saturday. Head coach Michael Vokes says it’s the biggest indoor meet for his team so far this season and will allow for some of his younger student-athletes to get some competitive experience. “We have a lot of underclassmen, freshman and sophomores, that haven’t ran track before. We won’t have a full meet schedule, as far as an outdoor meet schedule, but we’ll have enough events that we’ll be able to plug them in and see what they can do under pressure with some competition.”

Competition gets underway at 1 p.m. Saturday in Lamoni.
