Tonight is the grant award ceremony for the Greene County Community Foundation.

The Foundation was able to award $119,000 of the $300,000 in requests this year. A new requirement was the instead of a 50/50 match, non-profit organizations only had to come up with 25 percent match and the Foundation would give 75 percent to local projects. The Foundation administers grant applications for less than $35,000.

The recipients as well as the public are invited to the grant ceremony tonight at the Presbyterian Church in Jefferson at 7pm.
