Although Greene County High School girls’ golf coach Heath Telleen doesn’t have a tremendous amount of experience on the squad, he told Raccoon Valley Radio he likes the approach the girls have when it comes to playing the tough courses. “We played the TCI of Iowa course last year and the girls did great! For us that are experienced golfers head games could come into play on the tougher courses like TCI. I would personally have a tough time playing there, but they did great and I don’t think they really realized it was such a challenge. They were saying it was a nice course and they saw a bunch of wildlife and everything.”

The Rams open the 2016 golf season on Monday, April 4 vs. Carroll. The girls play at Carroll and the boys play in Jefferson at the Jefferson Community Golf Course.
