Greene County hosted their Early Bird Coed Track & Field Meet on Monday in Jefferson at Linduska Field. No team scoring was kept, but the Rams won seven events on the boys side. Paton-Churdan competed, but did not have any first place finishes. South Hamilton (Jewell) won five events, Manson-Northwest Webster four, and CMB (Maxwell) two. There were five teams competing.
Seniors Max Neese and Daric Whipple were multiple winners for Greene County. Neese won the 100 meter dash (11.82), and the 200 meters (23.66), while Whipple was the winner of the 110 meter high hurdles (16.36) and the 400 meter low hurdles in meet record time (57.55), and Neese was on the winning 4 x 100 (46.24) and 4 x 200 (1:38.88) meter relays.Whipple also ran on the 4 x 100. Senior Tyler Beger ran on the 4 x 200 with juniors Chase Stoline and Logan Lansman running legs on both winning relays. Senior Matthew Gordon won the shot put (48′ 4″).
Next on the schedule is a boys’ only meet in Winterset on Friday, April 1.
