The Jefferson Police Department recently released their St. Patrick’s Day weekend special Traffic Enforcement Program results.

Sergeant Heath Ennis says from March 16th through the 19th, officers issued 12 citations and 33 warnings. There were three citations each given for dark window violations and other traffic violations. Other citations that were issued include two for a suspended or revoked driver’s license and one each for seat belt violation, speeding, stop sign violation and no registration.

As for warnings, the most that were issued were eight each for seat belt and equipment violations. Other warnings were for speeding, stop sign violation, no registration, dark windows, no proof of insurance and other traffic violations.

Officers also served two arrests warrants, made one felony arrest, investigated one traffic accident and assisted one motorist during the same sTEP Wave time period.
