Today is the final day that individuals can file their nomination papers to run for some county elected offices.

The Greene County offices that are available this election cycle are Sheriff, Auditor and three Supervisor Districts including one, four and five. You must be at least 18 years-old, be a US Citizen and reside in Greene County to run for one of the seats.

Democratic candidates must get at least 25 signatures and Republicans must have at least 32 signatures.

The deadline to submit nomination papers is by 5pm on March 30th at the Greene County Auditor’s office. Anyone with questions can call the auditor’s office at 386-5680.

The primary election will be held in June.
