Dallas County Hospital’s new Chief Executive Officer has been in the position for just over a month now and the Perry native says it’s nice to be back home.
“It has been nice and I have really been warmly welcomed by the staff and the physicians and the community and it has been nice to see a lot of familiar faces.”
Angela Mortoza took over as the hospital’s head administrator on March 1st. Among her goals for the hospital are maintaining the positives that are currently in place and continuing to provide a positive experience.
“I really want to support and continue to develop the community connection and focus on wellness and education in our community. I want to ensure that we’re providing quality services close to home. I want to give every patient that wow experience and be the employer of choice.”
Mortoza says she maintains an open door policy and encourages anyone who would like to contact her or stop by to call 465-7628.
