A nationally touring show performed by a renowned puppeteer will take place tonight at the Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield.
Executive Director Ken Sidey says calling Cashore Marionettes a ‘puppet show’ really doesn’t do the work of art justice. “When you say ‘puppet show’, you think kids, slapstick and very simplistic things. This is very sophisticated. The intricacy of the movement that Mr. Cashore creates through his marionettes is really something to see. It’s just him and his puppets on stage, with classical music playing in the background. You really forget that he is on stage and you just see the activity, the motions and the emotions that the marionettes are able to convey.”
Tonight’s performance begins at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $25 at the Warren Cultural Center box office.
