The Greene County Medical Center Board of Trustees were recently recognized for obtaining their Iowa Hospital Association’s Trustee Education Certification.
The program develops governance practices and promotes the coordination of care and utilizing the best resources. It requires the board members to complete 12 continuing hours of education that’s made up of seminars, online learning opportunities, leadership forums and other learning opportunities for board members.
IHA President and Chief Executive Officer Kirk Norris added that by the board completing the program that “this is a testament to the commitment of these trustees as they work in unison to better serve their hospital and community by improving their governance and leadership skills.”
The trustees were recognized at the 2016 IHA Governance Forum that was held in Des Moines earlier this month.
