Despite a wet week, construction crews are still about a week ahead of schedule on the Highway 144 and Willis Avenue intersection project in Perry.
City Administrator Sven Peterson says the north and south sidewalks are now open to pedestrian traffic. The east side of the intersection is now open with a three-way stop and crews have transitioned to the west portion of the project.
Peterson asks everyone to be cautious on the sidewalks as there are bolts where poles will be installed. These are marked with cones. He also thanked the community for their patience and understanding with the project.
The project end date is currently set for June 3rd. A map to the current detour can be found in this story on our website.
