As we’ve reported, a push to gain National Wildlife Refuge designation for a large portion of land in Greene, Guthrie and Carroll counties continues to be discussed at the local, state and federal levels of government.
Iowa’s Third District United States Congressman David Young says he’s considering holding a public town hall meeting to discuss the project. “We could have a little open house town hall meeting and ask folks what they think of this proposal, because we want to hear from you. We want to hear from landowners, local government leaders and anybody else. You could hear about a town hall meeting with an open dialogue meeting coming up.”
Young will tell us more about the proposal today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
