The ADM boys track team wrapped up their final meet before the Drake Relays yesterday as they participated in the Carlisle Wildcat Relays.
The Tigers went up against a very strong field comprised of 14 teams and came away with 31 points as a team on the night. ADM’s 4 x 100 meter shuttle hurdle relay team earned 4th place with a time of 1:04 and on the individual side of things Reece McLaughlin, David Howard, and Jacob West all earned top five finishes on the meet. McLaughlin narrowly missed out on the top three in the long jump by one inch with his jump of 20″0″, while David Howard found the top five as well earning a fifth place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.96.
Last but not least ADM junior Jacob West continued his steak of dominance in the high jump after earning second place at Carlisle with a jump height of 6-00, just missing out on first by three inches. West’s continued excellence in the high jump earned him a spot in the Drake Relays tomorrow and Friday. West qualified for the relays after his jump height of 6″4′. West is scheduled to jump this Friday morning at 9:45 am.
