As Saturday came and went, so too did the 2016 Drake Relays.

ADM senior Maggi Bjustrom participated in the girls 100 meter hurdles against a field of 32 other hurdlers from across the state of Iowa this past Friday. To get into the final heat runners would have to fall into the top 8 fastest times. Bjustrom did just that and more in the 100 meter hurdle prelims. Bjustrom broke a 46 year old ADM school record when as she placed third in the preliminary races with a time of 14.66 seconds.

In that very competitive final field, Bjustrom took 7th with a finishing time of 15.09.

It was a great day for the ADM senior who leaves the Drake Relays still retaining the best 100 meter hurdle time in class 3A on the year.
