As we’ve reported, Panorama discus thrower Matt Webner, along with the shuttle hurdle relay team of Miranda and Michelle Mleynek, Faith Powell and Morgan Johnk recently competed at the Drake Relays.

Head coach Greg Thompson has a recap of the action at Drake. “Matt Webner threw 150’3″ on Thursday, good enough for 13th place. He was sixth among Class 2A competitors, which is really what we look at about three weeks before the state meet. The girl’s shuttle hurdle relay in low 40 degree weather and rain ran a 1:08.76, which was 11th overall, but first in Class 2A.”

The Panthers track teams compete in the West Central Activities Conference meet this afternoon at 4 p.m. at Guthrie Center.
