Greene County voters have an opportunity to meet one of the candidates that is challenging a Republican incumbent for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District today.

Republican State Senator Rick Bertrand is running for United States Congress. The Sioux City native graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1993 where he studied economics and political science. He is a ranking member in the State Senate and serves on the commerce, labor and business relations committees.

The meet and greet will be at Homestead Coffee and Bakery this morning at 10am. The public is invited to the free event.

Bertrand is challenging incumbent Steve King for the June primary.
