1995 Jefferson-Scranton High School graduate Brent Mac Lagan was informed last week by the Iowa High School Athletic Association he will be inducted into the IHSAA Football Hall of Fame later this year. The ceremony will take place during halftime of the Class 4A State Champtionship game on Nov. 18 inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
Mac Lagan was a four-sport athlete, participating in football, track & field, baseball, and basketball. He twice was a Class 3A first team all-state running back for Jefferson-Scranton/Paton-Churdan and he also earned Elite All-State honors as a defensive back his senior year. Mac Lagan was also a dangerous kickoff and punt returner.

Former J-S Activities Director and longtime former JSPC head football coach Bill Kibby nominated Mac Lagan for the honor, which goes to a very small percentage of those that played high school football in the state of Iowa.
