The Guthrie Center boys and girls track teams will head to state-qualifying at Griswold today.
Boys head coach Colin Shawgo says his squad will be competing against a tough field. “It’s probably above-average, as a skill level. Audubon has some really good sprinters and Nodaway Valley has really good distance runners, since they were cross country state champions.”
Girls coach Dave Spratte says he’s spent the week preparing his team. “Making sure we’re all happy, getting our sleep, and the biggest thing is making sure we’re mentally focused and ready to go.”
The meet begins at 4 p.m.
