The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office will participate in a statewide program to make sure motorists are wearing seatbelts.

The Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau’s Click It or Ticket program takes place from May 23rd-June 6th. The initiative focuses on around-the-clock seat belt wearing, but strong enforcement will take place from 6 a.m.-6 p.m., due to the significant number of violations and fatal crashes during those hours.
