A Perry administrator has been named one of the top in the state.

Middle School Principal Shaun Kruger was one of three finalists for the School Administrators of Iowa’s Middle Level Principal of the Year award.

According to the association’s website, nominees for the award must have at least five years of experience as a middle school principal in a building where a commitment to excellence is clearly evident.  Recipients are administrators who are respected by their students, colleagues and community, they show strong educational leadership and make outstanding contributions to the well being of the educational community.

SAI is a statewide organization that represents more than 2,000 educational administrators in Iowa.
