The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting a spring bird hike Saturday.
This time of year is the peak of songbird migration season and there is the potential to see more than 50 different species.
Participants will join a naturalist in exploring the forest, prairies and wetland habitats at the Voas Nature Area from 8-11am Saturday. Attendees should plan to dress for the weather and binoculars and bird books will be available.
