Greene County Supervisors to Meet Tomorrow Morning
The Greene County Board of Supervisors will meet tomorrow morning.
The Board will set a public hearing date to sell county properties in Dana and discuss forming a 28E agreement with Boone County for collection of delinquent court costs.
The Board will then consider for approval a request for payment of Community Development Block Grant funds for Scranton Manufacturing through the economic development and public facilities set aside draw, an appointment to the Board of Health, the County Treasurer’s investment and driver’s license report for April and an agreement with the Department of Transportation and Union Pacific Railroad for safety improvements at C Avenue.
It begins at 8:30am in the boardroom of the courthouse in Jefferson.
Greene County High School Senior Awards Ceremony Tuesday
The public is invited to celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s Greene County High School senior class with their awards night on Tuesday.
Guidance counselor Ruth Broman says the event will be at the high school auditorium in Jefferson at 7pm. Attendees will also get a chance to see some of the senior art projects.
She points out that there are six new scholarships this year including Betty Jo Calloway, Halycon Ruth Dixson, David Finch, Jackie Graven, Greene County Activities Booster and the Jack Finneseth Volunteerism scholarships. There are also three additional scholarships that will be awarded this year that haven’t been apart of their program for while and those include Kay Sweet, Morse-Kennedy and Homer and Margaret Beaty scholarships.
Following the awards night will be the graduation commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 22nd.
