If you’ve ever thought about starting your own business there are a variety of resources available to help you take the next step.
The Perry Chamber Board recently heard from a representative with the Small Business Administration who talked about the services they provide to help new business owners.
Chamber Executive Director Bob Wilson says he receives inquiries often from people who say they want to start a new venture but don’t know where to start.
“SBA has a plethora of information and resources. I now have a great guide down at the Chamber office, all the Chamber (Board) members have them too. So if you know anybody interested or you’re just kicking around the idea and are in the early stages, there’s a Ready, Set, Go program that we’re going to implement. It’s basically just starting out and just in the infancy of brainstorming of how I take this, maybe what I think is a great idea, to fruition and turn it into a business.”
Wilson says the Chamber plans to bring the Ready, Set, Go program back to Perry in the near future so everyone has a chance to attend.
