Though it has been held in early May in the past, don’t worry collectors you haven’t missed Perry’s Antique Days yet.

Chamber Executive Director Bob Wilson says this year the group decided to move the event to May 28th and 29th in hope that they can attract some people who are in town for Perry High School’s graduation and Memorial Day weekend.

“There’s some great vendors coming that have literally something for everyone.  Repurposed art, collectables, this big thing now is taking something that’s vintage and turning it into something different and kind of do it yourself projects are very hip.  There’s lots of great vendors, it will be all down Second Street, there will be some demonstrations from furniture makers and other things to learn about.  Our local stores will be open, our local restaurants will be available.  Come on down.  Check it out. I guarantee, even if you’re not into antiques you’ll have a good time and you’ll find something that you didn’t even know you needed.”

The event takes place from 8am until 4pm Saturday the 28th and 10am until 4pm Sunday the 29th.
