Just as the Iowa High School track and field meets are getting under way, there are a lot of collegiate conference meets ending. One of those would be the Summit League outdoor championships where former ADM Lady Tiger track standout Karina Dufoe has put up great performances.

Dufoe currently holds records in the girls 100, 200, 400 events as well as the 4 x 400 meter relay event at ADM high school. This year Karina has entered her freshmen season at the University Of South Dakota where she has been showing off her talent at the collegiate level. Her most recent events where in the Summit League Championships where she placed fifth in the 100 meter run and eighth in the 200 meter run. On the season Dufoe has two third place, two second place, and one first place finish.

In the spirit of the upcoming Iowa High School track and field meets, it’s worth noting that Dufoe was last years’ record holder in the 200 meter dash with her time of 24.59 seconds.

As for the rest of her freshmen track season at USD, Dufoe has the NCAA West Preliminaries coming up on May 26th in Lawrence Kansas.
