Greene County RamsThe Greene County School Board will meet three times tonight.

The School Board will hold a special, closed session meeting at 5pm. Then the Board will tour the student construction house at 1080 240th Street in Jefferson at 5:30pm. The regular meeting will then take place at 6:30pm.

Under old business, the Board will discuss and possibly take action on the bus barn lease agreement with the Greene County Fair Board. Other discussions include possible projects for the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation grant funds, an electronic door security system for all the buildings in the district and budget considerations. Plus, the Board is expected to approve the second reading of a revised board policy.

The new business items that the Board will consider for approval include refinancing the 2007 revenue bonds, late early retirement applications, a shared curriculum director with LuVerne School District, 2016-17 registration fees and meal prices, 2016 baseball and softball officials and a resolution amending the district’s depository

The Board will also consider for approval several contracts and negotiated agreements for the 2016-17 school year. Those items include an ratified agreement with the Greene County Education Association and Labor’s Local 177, classified and administrative staff contracts and teacher leadership assignments.

There will also be a discussion about the district’s attendance policy.

The special and regular meetings will take place in the conference room of the administrative building in Jefferson.
