The Guthrie Center boys track team is staying loose heading into the state track meet, says head coach Colin Shawgo. “Make sure that their legs stay loose, they go fast and make sure they stay healthy leading to those state track days.”

Competing for Guthrie Center are Sam Courtney in the open mile, Logan Scheuermann in the open 800 meter run and the 4×800 meter relay of Scheuermann, Courtney, TJ Wickland and Landon Foster. The state meet begins tomorrow at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
