The Perry Public Library is not about to let the children and teens have all the fun, adults will be able to take part in the summer reading program too.
Librarian Marlene Johnson says they have several special programs coming up over the next few months.
“The first one we have is Canoeing Down the Bloodvein and Back. Alan Gage constructed his own canoe and took his dog on a trip down the river. So he’s bringing his canoe and his dog to talk about that. I think people will enjoy hearing his story on June 9th. Then we have another author coming on June 20th, Jerry Nelson writes a column called Dear County Agent. He lives in South Dakota and his column has been in very many agricultural magazines like Successful Farming.”
Adults will also be able to earn prizes for reading and completing short book reviews.
All of the programs, with the exception of the finale party, are open to all area adults.
To register for the program, stop by the library or call 465-3569.
