Everyone is invited to a candidate meet and greet event tonight in Jefferson.

Democratic candidate Tom Fiegen is running for United States Senate in the June primary. He will be at Prairie Blue Creative Arts Center tonight from 7 to 8pm.

The lawyer from Cedar Rapids, specializes in bankruptcy, as well as commercial and agricultural law. He grew up on his family’s farm and in 2000 was elected to the Iowa Senate. Fiegen was named “Friend of the Family Farmer” by the Iowa Farmers Union and “Outstanding Legislator of 2002” by the Iowa Citizen Action Network.

The free event will include light snacks. Prairie Blue is located at 114 North Wilson Avenue in Jefferson.
