The Greene County Action Resource Center continues to help families and individuals in need of food and other items.

Site Manager Diane Blackmer says they helped 89 families and 215 individuals in April.

She points out that they are doing something different this summer to help those families with school-age children. Blackmer is asking for any kinds of cereal, fruit cups and other children-approved, healthy snacks are recommended for donations since children won’t be in school over the summer.

There is also an ongoing need for body soap, shampoo and non-gender specific deodorant.

The ARC is open every Wednesday and every third Saturday of the month from 9:30am to noon.
