Guthrie County Public Health could soon add a new vehicle to their fleet thanks to an upcoming Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) public vehicle auction.
Director Jotham Arber says the vehicles are a sound investment and help his department save money by decreasing reimbursements for miles employees put on their personal vehicles while traveling for work. “They have some minivans, some Ford Focus cars, both of those could be good options. My hope would be to get one vehicle for around $6,000 or less, that way the return on investment would be pretty quick.”
The auction takes place Saturday, June 11th at the DOT’s office in Ames.
