After some time off for Memorial Day, the Greene County High School baseball and softball teams return to the diamonds tonight. The Rams will be playing on side-by-side diamonds in Jewell vs. South Hamilton. Greene County is 1-2 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference softball games and 0-2 on the baseball side.

The softball Rams went 4-2 in their first week of action and finished last week by winning three close games in Ogden at the Ogden Tournament. Coach Tom Kennedy’s team won 10-7 over the host Bulldogs to begin the day, then won 6-4 over Madrid, and 4-1 over Martensdale-St. Mary’s. SH is 1-1 in HOIAC games.

The baseball Rams are playing on the road for the first time and are seeking their first win of the season after losing at home last week to PCM (Monroe) and CMB (Maxwell). SH is also 0-2 in HOIAC action.
