It was second round regional action for Iowa High School soccer last night.

The ADM/Van Meter girls soccer team was in action on the evening as they hosted second round regional action in Adel last night, laying host to first round winner Chariton. The Chargers defeated Des Moines North in round one by the final score of 5-0, but as they took on the 4th ranked Lady Tigers they saw that score flip. The Lady Tigers took control early on in the contest as not 5 minutes in, Allie Cook took a nice pass from Sydney Bertman to score her first of three goals on the night. Sydney Bertman had a productive night with three assists and a goal of her own in the 32nd minute of action taking it in herself for ADM’s second goal on the night.

The second half opened up just as quickly as the first half for ADM with Anna Kenny’s goal in the 42 minute followed by Allie Cook’s second goal on the night not a minute after that.  ADM/Van Meter’s final goal came in the  58th minute of action as Jordan Hook put in a good cross to Allie Cook who completed the hat trick for her third goal and the Lady Tiger’s 5th on the night. With the win the Lady Tiger head back to the regional final as they look to square off against Norwalk in Adel. That game is scheduled for Monday June 6th and will commence at 6:00 pm.
