The City of Perry is partnering with H and W Recycling for an Appliance and Scrap Metal Collection this weekend.

Taking place at the Perry Recycling Center at 14325 Ivy Place from 8am until noon Saturday, the event allows residents to dispose of certain items at no charge.

Empty appliances, electronics, scrap metal and yard tools can be dropped off for free.  However, items such as chemicals, paint, alkaline batteries, plastics, water softeners, carpet and tires will not be accepted.

Additionally, televisions and computer monitors can be disposed off for a fee of either $15 or $30 each, depending on the size.
