The statewide primary election is five days away and only a handful of Guthrie County voters are taking advantage of using absentee ballots.

Auditor Jerri Christman says as of Wednesday, her office had sent out 27 absentee ballots and received 19 back.

The only contested race in Tuesday’s primary is for the Republican nomination to run for the First District Supervisor seat.
