A Glidden man faces at least two charges in connection to several burglaries in Jefferson.
Police Chief Mark Clouse says 33 year-old Glenn Edward Summers is charged with a Class D Felony for third degree burglary and an aggravated misdemeanor for an attempted burglary. The felony charge is for stolen items from Durbin Automotive at 206 West Head Street. The misdemeanor charge is from an attempted burglary at a car wash at 701 North Elm Street. The lock had been drilled to gain entry, but no items were stolen. Both incidents were reported on May 4th.
Summers is also suspected in connection with a couple of other business burglaries in Jefferson that also happened last month. Charges are pending at this time. He is also facing several other burglary charges in other counties including Webster, Calhoun, Carroll and Boone.
He is currently being held in the Greene County Jail. Clouse notes that once Summers is processed on all of their charges, he will be transported to another county to face their charges.
