A sloppy defensive performance cost Perry Monday night as Carlisle defeated Perry 7-2 despite the Cats mustering only 2 hits off Perry. The Jayette offense was extremely quiet as well managing only 3 hits for the game. There were a combined 8 errors in the game with 5 of the errors committed by Perry.
Carlisle scored two in the first, three in the third and two more in the fourth. Emma Olejniczak pitched well against the 3rd ranked Cats holding Carlisle to 2 hits, 4 walks and 1 earned run. She struck out 7.
Perry managed their runs in the top of the 7th inning with a Maddie Jans 2-run double. Johanna Diw and Rachel Kinney provided the other hits for Perry on the night.
