Jack E. Lloyd won the only local contested Primary race in Guthrie County Tuesday night, for the Republican nomination to run for the First District Supervisor seat against Democratic incumbent Jerry Caraher, who ran unopposed. Lloyd had 47 votes to beat out Jerri Christman who received 33 votes, and 21 people cast their ballot for Jim Carroll.
Also running unopposed and easily securing their party’s nominations were Republican incumbent Fifth District Supervisor Mike Dickson, Republican Marci McClellan for Auditor, and Democratic incumbent Sheriff Marty Arganbright.
Additionally, Republican State Representative Clel Baudler will face off against Democratic nominee Scott Heldt in November’s general election, and Republican incumbent State Senator Jake Chapman will run against Democratic nominee Matt Paladino.
