guthrie county arts councilGuthrie County’s premier annual art show is two days away.

The fifth annual Art in the Village takes place Saturday at the Guthrie County Historical Village in Panora.

Local musician Brick Imerman says over the years they’ve figured out a method to have live music play nonstop from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. during the event. “The Guthrie County Historical Village, in Panora, is just a beautiful place with the old buildings, trees and spaces. It’s a great place to come Saturday. On the south side there are two old buildings with porches, and while one band is playing on one porch another band is setting up on the other porch, so there’s never a lull in the music.”

We’ll wrap up our conversation with Imerman today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County, talking about the unique relationships between the local musicians performing Saturday. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
