Greene County Community CenterThere are two more youth programs starting next week with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.

Director Vicky Lautner says pre-kindergarten through fifth grades can join them for a week long art camp. Kids will enjoy a different project everyday and supplies will be available for participants. There are two sessions, one is for pre-k through second grade from 1 to 1:45pm and third through fifth graders are from 2 to 2:45pm from June 13th through the 17th at the Greene County Community Center. The cost to participate is $20.

Another program is designed to teach youngsters about the sport of archery. Don Orris and Skeeter Wilber will help participants learn and practice archery. Kids will also have the opportunity to compete in the Iowa Games Archery contest in July. The program is from June 14th through July 14th at 1108 West Adams in Jefferson. The beginners class is from noon to 1:15pm and the advanced class will be from 1:15 to 2:30pm. Cost to participate is $25 and it’s an additional $20 to compete in the Iowa Games Archery contest. Space limited.
