summer readingThis year’s summer reading program at the Perry Public Library is themed Exercise Your Mind, Read!

In addition to earning prizes for reading, teens and adults are also competing physically.

As Librarian Misty VonBehren explains,

“One of the prizes that the teens can earn is a pedometer and with that pedometer, I’m asking that they keep track of their steps every single week and the teen with the most steps at the end of the summer will win a Garmin Vivofit Activity Tracker. And then each week they turn in their steps, they also get to put that (entry) into the grand prize drawing.”

The adults will also be able to earn a pedometer and compete for the most steps and an activity tracker at the end of the program.

The summer reading series is free for everyone from birth through adults to take part in.  For more information, CLICK HERE.
