The Adel City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

Items on the agenda include a discussion on repealing the residential tax abatement program and a moratorium for new subdivisions and plats, approval of non-union city employee wages, approval of fees for city services and consideration of an road maintenance agreement with the Department of Transportation.

The Council will then consider purchasing a street sweeper from the City of Waukee, approve changes to the solid waste collection, set a public hearing in regards to rezoning of Eagle Vista and appointments to several boards and commissions.

Next the Council will consider approving preliminary plats for Eagle Vista, Midtown Greene Townhomes, consider a special event permit application for AHeinz57’s annual Ruff Ride in August and approve a payment application for the Adel Historic Museum addition.

The meeting takes place at 6pm at the Adel City Hall.
