The Guthrie Center softball team is four days away from hosting their tournament, featuring Audubon, Boyer Valley, CAM of Anita, Earlham, Riverside, Underwood and West Harrison. Head coach Tim O’Brien says one nice thing about the tournament will be playing schools of the same size as Guthrie Center. “It’s nice to play against some Class 1A schools going forward into this tournament.”
Guthrie Center is among the smaller schools in the West Central Activities Conference and has played several bigger, and in many instances more competitive Class 2A teams over the past couple weeks. Saturday’s tournament begins at 9 a.m. at Guthrie Center.
