Guthrie County Conservation has hired a new Manager to replace Brad Halterman who left the job this spring to work for the Lake Panorama Association.

Director Joe Hanner says Ethan Vander Pol will likely start sometime in late June. He has experience working with Conservation departments in Jasper and Marion counties and holds a degree in Animal Ecology from Iowa State University.

Hanner says Vander Pol will need to become a certified applicator and obtain a commercial driver’s license once he starts the job.
