A Jefferson man was arrested Tuesday for an alleged domestic abuse incident.

Police Chief Mark Clouse says at 10:12am, a 28 year-old female reported that she had been assaulted. Officers responded to the 300 block of North Chestnut Street where the incident took place. Greene County Emergency Medical Services were called and transported the female to Greene County Medical Center with injuries.

During the investigation, officers arrested 31 year-old Patrick Michael Kennedy. He is charged with Class D Felonies for his third or subsequent offense for domestic abuse assault and domestic abuse assault impeding blood and/or air flow.

He was booked and and released from the Greene County Jail.
