Children in the Perry area who have not yet signed up for the Perry Public Library’s summer reading program should do so soon because there are several fun events and programs coming up.
Librarian Suzanne Kestel says the Blank Park Zoo will be stopping by on Tuesday, June 28th.
“We never know for sure what they’re bringing but they always bring a couple animals with them. So they’re always a favorite because they’re really good about letting (the children) touch the animal and they tell them about it.”
Kestel says four live animals will join members of the zoo’s education department and the children will be able to discuss which animals would do well in their own Olympic games.
It takes place from 10:30 until 11:30am in the library’s large meeting room.
