The City of Perry is offering residents the opportunity to get rid of those items that shouldn’t be thrown in the garbage next month.
A household hazardous waste collection is set for Saturday, July 16th from 9am until noon.
Aerosol cleaners, antifreeze, rechargeable batteries, florescent light bulbs, pesticides, poison, stains and vegetable oil are among the items that will be accepted free of charge.
However, you will not be able to dispose of ammunition and explosives, appliances, computers, fire extinguishers, latex paint, medications or propane tanks.
A full list of accepted and not accepted items can be found HERE.
The collection takes place in the police and fire station parking lot at 908 Willis Avenue.
If you have questions, call City Hall at 465-2481.
