The Perry Public Library is welcoming another author to town tonight and all area adults are welcome to attend.

Librarian Marlene Johnson says this is the next event in the adult summer reading program and Dear County Agent Guy author Jerry Nelson is well known among readers in the agriculture world.

“(Nelson) writes a column called Dear County Agent. He lives in South Dakota and his column has been in very many agricultural magazines like Successful Farming, and some of his columns have even been woven into some scripts of ‘The Prairie Home Companion’, so people will be familiar with Garrison Keillor’s well known (program).”

Fresh off his Des Moines appearance at the Wonder of Words Festival this past weekend, Nelson will meet with area readers at the Perry Public Library tonight at 7pm.
