For the third consecutive night the ADM Lady Tiger softball team took a Raccoon River Conference series sweep as they defeated the Lady Toreadors of Boon by the final score of 5-1.

The action would start off in the bottom of the third inning as the Lady Tigers got on the board first putting up three runs in the bottom half of the inning. That inning would be a continuation of a great night at the plate for both Gabbie Glenn and Molly Jacobsen; both having at least two hits on the night and driving home at least one run. Glenn would go perfect at the plate on the night going 3-3 with two singles, one double, while driving in one of ADM’s five runs for the contest. Molly Jacobsen bounced back in a strong way after going hit-less against Bondurant-Farrar at the plate going 2-3 with a bunt single and a home run as part of a 3 RBI night for her on the night.

After the three run third inning and a two run fifth inning, Jacobsen and the Lady Tigers would see Boon scratch across their only run on the night off of an error as the score would move to 5-1. From there the Lady Tigers would shut the door on the Lady Toreadors taking the series sweep.

Inside the circle Jacobsen had a dominating night posting seven strong innings of work giving up just four hits, one walk, and earning another multi-strikeout game fanning 15 Boone batters with no earned runs on her way to securing her 24th win on the season.

With the win ADM now improves to 24-3 overall and 9-2 in conference play while the Lady Toreadors now drop to 17-6, 5-5 in the Raccoon River Conference. After a three game home stand the Lady Tigers will be back on the road for a non conference showdown with the Lady Warriors of Norwalk.
